Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has received another celebrity endorsement, this one coming from the weapon involved in the 2012 killing of Trayvon Martin.
The 9 mm Kel-Tec PF-9 pistol used by George Zimmerman to kill the unarmed teenager in Sanford, FL, has thrown its support behind the New York billionaire and his bid for the White House.
Zimmerman’s gun, whose owner described it as an “American Firearm Icon,” said Trump’s no-nonsense approach to politics makes him the most relatable candidate for an instrument of destruction such as itself.
“People say ‘Trump shoots from the hip’ like it’s a bad thing. I don’t understand it,” the firearm explained. “Trump’s a straight shooter, just like me.”
The weapon continued, “He doesn’t care if he hurts somebody’s feelings or vital organs. When he said he could shoot somebody on Fifth Avenue and get away with it, it was like he was speaking directly to me. I was like, ‘Amen, brother.’ That’s my kind of guy.”
Zimmerman’s gun also said it likes Trump’s aggressive stance regarding protecting the homeland.
“Trump isn’t some wimp who’ll wait for trouble to arrive on our doorstep before taking action. Neither will he sit back and rely on someone else to deal with what he sees as a potential risk to our safety,” the pistol stated. “I want someone who will be aggressive, someone who isn’t afraid to seek out an opportunity to escalate a situation involving even the slightest of perceived threats into a bloody tragedy. I want Donald Trump as president.”
