Hillary Clinton Has Pneumonia, That Doesn’t Disqualify Her As A Candidate

The conservative media had a field day over Hillary Clinton having a fainting spell, and the news that she has pneumonia. To hear them tell it, all of their other criticisms of her candidacy got pushed to the side because “OMG, Hillary Clinton has an ailment that millions of other people get every year!”

In case you didn’t realize this, Hillary is 68 years old and at that age, people aren’t always in peak physical condition. Pneumonia is an ailment that can strike anyone, at any age – but the conservative media is determined to make this an issue anyhow.

Here is one of the comments I found over on Fox News with their version of the story. It was one of the milder statements, to say the least.

Again, Hillary Clinton is 68 years old, and has to wear a bulletproof vest to her appearances because of the rabid conservatives out there that would shoot her if they had the chance. If you don’t believe me, just take a few minutes to browse the comments on Fox News, Breitbart and other right-wing media organizations.

And yet, despite not feeling well, she still showed up for the 9/11 memorial in New York City – because that’s what serious political candidates do.

As a reminder, Donald Trump found a way to dodge the draft by claiming he had bone spurs. Just like Rush Limbaugh and Ted Nugent dodged Vietnam for alleged medical reasons, rather than having the balls to refuse to go on conscientious reasons.

If Hillary Clinton is disqualified for having pneumonia, then Reagan should have been disqualified for having Alzheimer’s, along with the dozens of other presidential candidates who had health issues.

This story is just another conservative media distraction in hopes of tilting the odds to Donald Trump. I, for one, am not buying it.
