Trump supporters love to refer to their opponents as “cucks” or “snowflake.” Both terms are meant to be demeaning, as if opposing Trump is because that person is less of a man, or a fragile human being. This ad hominem attack is the easy way to deflect from facts and logic, because the uninformed and rabid far-right aren’t able to present a valid argument for their positions.
The Trump fan club uses the epithet “snowflake” even though their hero is under investigation under investigation by the FBI for possibly colluding with Russia. Trump is planning to make their healthcare even more expensive, or just take it away. Yet, they still defend him, since they cannot come to terms that they were duped bigly.
As a “snowflake,” I want universal healthcare that will cover everyone, including the deplorables who voted for Trump. I want their kids to have an education that won’t put them in debt, and I want them to have the right to unionize against the companies that shipped their jobs overseas.
Even though Trump supporters managed to get the person they wanted into the White House, they’re in for a world of disappointment. He won’t “Make America Great Again” and he won’t make our military better than it already is, even at the expense of slashing domestic programs in order to pay for more weapons that we don’t need.
The people who voted for Trump aren’t going to get the jobs back that they lost to technology and globalization. He won’t make their lives better. In fact, it’s likely that his supporters stand the most to lose as more tax breaks go to the wealthiest Americans, while healthcare and job protections are slashed to help out the 1%.
I don’t think all of his fans are racists and idiots, but they were fooled, and Trump enjoys support from the worst people in America. These are white nationalists, the KKK, and Neo-Nazis. These deplorables want Americans to turn on each other and hope for a racial war.
Trump doesn’t represent the people who voted for, he’s only in it for himself and they’re too blinded by decades of conservative media lies to recognize it. He isn’t a conservative, he isn’t religious, and he sure as hell doesn’t care about the unemployed white man in Dixie who is struggling to get by.
If pointing out the fact that Donald Trump isn’t going to do jack shit for the majority of the people who voted for him makes me a snowflake, I’ll wear that badge with honor.
